Guide:             Loving God of all Creation and Giver of all good, we seek the blessing of Your Holy Presence and hope to receive Your Divine Favor. You are the Provider of all blessings and wisdom; we humbly approach Your throne of grace, looking for meaning and purpose to be given to our mortal lives.
People:            Blessed God and Ruler of all the nations, we know that we are sinful and proud, selfish and vain, rebellious and foolish. We come here to confess our faults and to make peace with Your Spirit. In You alone, we find refuge for our weary souls and comfort for our anxious hearts. Only You have the power to forgive our fallen ways. Hear us now as we sincerely confess our sins to You.

Guide:              Heavenly Lord, You have restored us to Your Kingdom through the noble sacrifice of Your Son Jesus Christ. We cling to Him as our Savior and we look to Him for Your loving mercy. Guide:  Jesus was hated by the world because He confronted evil. Today, He confronts the sins in our lives and challenges us to become more like Him. Through His blood, our souls are cleansed of our sinful past, so let us rejoice and be glad, for our Risen Savior Jesus has triumphed over death and sin forevermore. Amen.

Prayers for Health and Healing

Pastor: We will give thanks to the LORD and call on His Name; we will make known His glorious deeds. We will praise and sing to the One, True and Living God, whose wonderful acts sustain our people.
People:                        Let us seek the Lord and rejoice in His goodness; let us approach Him with confidence and faith. May we look to the Lord for strength; may He compassionately answer our prayers.

Pastor:  As we remember the wonders He has accomplished, let us ask Him for healing and mercy. May our God bring healing to our hearts, peace to our minds, strength for our spirits, and wholeness to our souls and to all for whom we now pray.

Guide:              Almighty God, You know all our secrets and see everything that we do, we humbly approach You in awe and with reverence, seeking to please You with our worship and hoping to delight You with our praises. We have often sinned against You and fought against Your ways. We have sometimes put You to the back of our minds and frequently ignored Your advice over our decisions.

People:            Gracious Father, we have turning from Your guidance and sought refuge in our own understanding. We have fallen into temptation and become ensnared with our own sinful works, words, and ways. Forgive our foolish faults and selfish stupidity. Pardon us for being distracted by our own desires and deceived by our own delusions. Help us to turn to Jesus, to be restored by His grace and reclaimed by His blood. Hear us now as we sincerely confess our sins to You alone.

Guide: Loving Lord, You have opened the floodgates of forgiveness to us and granted us the opportunity to be returned to Your Favor and Kingdom through our Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him alone, we are eternally indebted. By Him alone, we are pardoned of our sins and protected from Your justified wrath. Pastor: Our souls find rest in God alone; our salvation and healing comes from Him. The LORD is our rock and salvation; He is our strength and we will never be shaken.
People:            At times our fears and illness, sickness and despair assault our hearts, minds, and bodies. We are weak and vulnerable, unsteady and unsure, anxious and afraid. Yet we know that we can find rest and peace, healing and harmony in God alone; our hope comes from Him.
Pastor: God alone is our rock and salvation; He is our strength and we will never be shaken. May healing and dignity be restored to us and all our loved ones in distress. May You, O God, become their mighty rock and refuge, their healing source and perfect help. Hear us now as we pray.

Guide:              Faithful and Loving King, Ruler of all Nature, we come to You as servants seeking to please You with our praises and as children looking to delight You with our devotion. We thrive in Your presence and by Your power we grow spiritually. We thank You for giving us faith, hope, and life.

People:            Gracious Father, we confess that we have betrayed Your commands in our thoughts, by our words, and with our deeds. We have diminished Your influence over our choices and have sinfully followed our own ways. We are guilty of disappointing You and of hurting others. We have selfishly fulfilled our own desires, putting ourselves first before You and of those in need. Hear us now as we sincerely confess our faults and silently express our regrets to You.

Guide: Benevolent God, we place our lives into Your hands and put ourselves under Christ’s authority. We need Him to save us from destruction and rescue us from sinful ways. Guide:                         Everlasting Lord of all bounties and blessings, we gather in Your presence to worship Your holy ways and to praise Your Sacred Name. We pledge our hearts and devote our lives to You; we glorify Your Kingdom and power.

People:            Merciful King, we try to please You with our words and deeds, but sometimes we break our promises and leave our pledges unfulfilled. We conveniently forget and reject Your commands. We choose to make selfish choices and fall into sinful ways

Guide:                         Gracious Father, we hurt our loved ones by our constant mistakes and we dishonor our faith by rebelling against Your laws. Forgive us for being foolish and faithless, self-centered and proud, greedy and insensitive. Hear us now as we silently make our confessions to You.

Guide:                         Almighty God, who sustains the seasons and commands the weather, whose power upholds the forces of nature and the climate of our world, we glorify Your mighty deeds and honor Your eternal words. We have covenanted this time to praise You; we have set aside this hour to glorify Your Holy Name.

People:            Loving Father, we confess to being unfaithful and disloyal to Your ways. We admit to allowing temptation to overcome our resolve and letting troubles weaken our faith. We know that we have disappointed You on many occasions, and that we have made selfish choices, by allowing pride and greed to overrule our hearts and minds. Hear us now as we silently make our personal confessions to You alone.
