Pastor: Almighty
God, we come before You quietly and reverently, seeking the presence of Your
Holy Spirit in our sanctuary and the grace of Your sacred son in our hearts.
People: We know
that we are sinful and confess to being unchristian at times. We frequently let
You down by disappointing others, discarding Your words, and diminishing Your
influence over our lives.
Pastor: On
this solemn night, when we acknowledge the terrible sacrifice of Your Only Son,
we also recognize that our sins nailed Him to the Cross, and our selfish ways
caused Him to die.

Lord, we know that we have been foolish, selfish, and sinful at times. We
recognize that we have made mistakes, as well as bad choices and faithless
