Call to Worship
Liturgist:               The LORD has set this time apart and brought us to this holy place, so that we may worship Him.
People:                 May our hearts be filled with the greater joy of God’s goodness; may we praise His sacred Name.
Liturgist:               Come, let us seek the LORD and glorify Him forever! Amen.

Hymn

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:                  Almighty Creator, whose holiness fills the universe, and whose sacred words sustain all life; we humbly gather before You as servants seeking to honor You, and as sinners needing salvation. Your ways are beyond our imagining and Your noble works have been glorified for centuries. We reverently approach Your Throne of grace, looking for mercy, favor, and love.
People:                 Heavenly Father, we have erected barriers of pride and prejudice, insolence and ignorance, as well as faithlessness and fear around our souls. We have damaged our spirits by our greedy ways; we have diminished our faith by our selfish sins. Remove the sinful fruits of our fallen lives. Pardon our guilt and forgive our foolish choices. Enable us to seek Your Son Jesus Christ to restore us to Your blessings and love. Hear us now as we confess and pray.

- Silent Confessions -

Guide:                  Loving Father, Your forgiveness through Jesus reclaims us to Your divine favor and godly grace. The blood of Christ our Lord has completely atoned for our entire guilt. Without His sacrifice, we would have no salvation. Without His perfect obedience, we would have no way of finding everlasting hope. We make these prayers in His sacred Name and continue to pray though His words, saying: “Our Father…THE LORD’S PRAYER” (debts/debtors).

Promise of the Gospel
Guide:                   Jesus lived among us to show us God's love. His goodness and grace established a new faith, a new understanding, and a new hope for people everywhere. We have received His blessings and are called to be His disciples. He forgives all of our faults and releases us from the wrath of God. So let us rejoice and be glad, for Christ is our Savior and we are forever restored to God's everlasting favor. Amen.

Gloria Patri (sung-unison): Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.

Hymn

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:                  Almighty and Everlasting Lord, we come here today to humbly worship You and revere Your Holy Name.
Your ways are often mysterious and yet Your deeds declare Your Sovereignty over this world; therefore we respectfully approach Your Holy Throne.
People:                 Gracious Father, we dearly love You, and yet we sometimes fall short of Your standards by constantly making the same mistakes. We allow pride to overrule our hearts and greed to wound our spirits. We have no peace in our souls because of guilt and sorrow. We fight against our faith and question Your Counsel by yielding to our own opinions and ideas. Help us and hear us now, as we personally and silently confess our faults to You alone.

- SILENCE -

Guide:                  Merciful God, Your Son Jesus was killed by people just like us. He died for them, and so He also sacrificed Himself for us. Without His death, we have no life. Without His grace, we have no hope. Thank You, for Christ’s power of salvation and the completeness of His compassionate pardon. In His Name and through His precious words, we now pray, saying:  “Our Father…The Lord’s Prayer” (debts/debtors).

Promise of the Gospel

Guide:  All that Jesus has promised will be fulfilled. When we receive Him in our hearts and confess our faults sincerely, He can and will forgive us. He alone has the authority to cancel out the debt that we owe to God for our sinful past. So let us rejoice and give thanks to God, for Christ's mercy and grace remains with His people, both now and always. Amen.

Gloria Patri (sung in unison): Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Amen.
