Leader: Let us trust in the LORD and do good; may we dwell in this land and enjoy safe pasture.
People: We will delight ourselves in the LORD and He may grant us the desires of our hearts.

Confessional Prayer
Guide: Everlasting Father, whose deeds across the generations have sustained our people; whose ways throughout the centuries have enhanced our faith; we worship and adore You forever.
People: Living God, whose purposes are never thwarted and whose plans are always fulfilled, we look to You for favor and blessing, mercy and grace.
Guide: Immortal Lord, we know that we are weak and human, that our bodies are frail and our minds are constantly distracted. Forgive us when we allow our wants and desires to become sinful and selfish.
People: Compassionate Father, deliver us from deceitful and dishonorable deeds; pardon us for making poor choices and persistently opposing Your power over our lives. Hear us now as we silently confess our sins.

Guide: Almighty God, refresh us with Your loving kindness; restore us through Your Holy Son. May He claim authority over our lives, by cleansing our souls and renewing our faith in You.
People: For we make our requests in Jesus' Name and in His own holy words, we continue to pray, saying, “Our Father, etc.” (Isaiah 26v19)

Promise of the Gospel
Guide: Our Lord Jesus placed Himself in harm's way and died upon a lonely Cross, so that we may be forgiven and restored to God's love. We deserve God's punishment for our mistakes, yet Christ shields us from God's wrath and brings us back into His Holy Presence and Everlasting Favor. Let us rejoice and glorify our Savior forever. Amen. (John 7:1)

People: May our prayers and praises be acceptable to You, O God of our hearts.

Prayers of Confession
Guide: High King of Heaven and Maker of the earth, we gather as stewards and servants, disciples and devotees of Your holy ways.
People: From the comfort of our homes, we have come to this sacred place to hear Your words and honor Your glorious Name.

Guide: Loving Lord, in the midst of our lives, there are moments of sin. Our days are full of good intentions, but our deeds display our faithless ways.
People: Merciful Father, instead of keeping Your commands, we make selfish choices. Instead of holding on to Your precious words, we hurt others with our bitter talk and personal grudges. Forgive us for pandering to our pride and nursing our wrath. Hear us now as we quietly confess our sins to You.

Guide: Living God, let Your justice prevail over our lives, and may Your Son’s mercy cleanse our souls. May His blood restore us to Your righteousness. May His sacrifice reclaim our lives for You.

Guide: Christ brings us back into the loving courts of God and sheds us of our shame. He takes away our sins and renews our lives. We are no longer blinded by greed or held captive to sin. He releases us from our guilt and redeems us for God. Let us rejoice and glorify Him forevermore. Amen. (John 9:13)

Guide: Wonderful King and Eternal Savior, this is Your Holy Day and we are thankful to be called Your people. You are the Righteous Son of God and our Everlasting Lord.
People: Sacred Majesty and Almighty Redeemer, You are the Lord of all Creation and the Ruler of the Universe. You have overcome sin and death, bringing promises of life and love that lasts forever.

Guide: Gracious Jesus, we caused Your wounds at Calvary because we are sinful people. We crucified You to the Cross because of our stubborn, rebellious, and selfish ways.
People: Precious Lord, forgive our foolish mistakes and grave errors. Pardon our hurtful words and shameful deeds. Hear us now as we confess to You alone.

Guide: Lord Jesus, we seek You tonight, for You are the source of our salvation. As we worship in this house of prayer, let Your peace enter our hearts.
People: Lord Jesus, come among us and grant us Your grace.
Guide: In the midst of our troubles, You are our shelter. At times when we struggle with life, You are our shield.
People: Lord Jesus, fill us with Your strength and show us Your love.
Guide: Do not hide Your face or reject us, O Lord, because of our sins. We are sorry for our errors and regret our selfish choices.

All: Lord Jesus, we have betrayed You many times and afflicted You with our sorrows. We have caused You to die on the Cross because we are sinful and selfish. We can never repay our debts to You, for what can we offer that will pay for absolute forgiveness and eternal life? We give You these gifts, that others may hear and read Your Words, and that souls may be saved, both near and far. In Your Holy name, we give and pray. Amen.

Guide: Lord Jesus Christ, we confess that there are many times when we do not listen to You, nor do we always follow Your words.
People: Lord, forgive us and help us to change our foolish ways..
Guide: When we are stubborn-hearted and full of pride, when we are self-centered and follow our own sinful longings:
People: Lord, forgive us and help us to mend our broken faith.
Guide: When we refuse to hear Your voice and choose to fulfill our own desires;
People: Lord, forgive us and help us to return to You.

Congregational Prayer: God our Father, Your Son Jesus Christ has left to us this meal of bread and wine in which we share His body and His blood.
