People:            The Lord encourages and sustains us; therefore we will be faithful and devoted to Him.

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:              Almighty God, whose strength sustains our lives, and whose power inspires our faith, we dedicate this time of worship to You; we devote our prayers and praises to the glorifying of Your Name.
Your ways display infinite wisdom, and Your deeds declare Your glorious kingdom; we seek to serve You from our hearts and we hope to please You with our lives.

People:            Merciful Lord, we confess to being fearful instead of faithful; we acknowledge that we still make foolish mistakes and say deceitful words. Sometimes we even lack conviction of our Christian beliefs and a holy commitment to Your Son. We allow ourselves to be persuaded by our pride and shaped by our sins. Silently and personally, we seek forgiveness; hear us as we pray.

- SILENCE -

Guide:              Eternal Father, without Jesus, there would be no peace in our lives. Without His pardon and mercy, we would have no hope of healing the breach between You and us. Jesus is the Only One who saves us from our sins. To Him alone, we pledge our hearts and souls and in His words, we continue to pray, saying “Our Father...THE LORD'S PRAYER” (debts/debtors)     

Promise of the Gospel

Guide:              We are all held accountable to God for our personal mistakes and selfish sins. Jesus intervenes on our behalf, claiming us to be His own. In Christ, we are granted forgiveness and restored to God’s joy. Let us rejoice and be glad, for we worship the King of grace and Lord of mercy. Amen.

Prayers for Health and Healing

Pastor:             We give thanks to You, O God, for You are present with us, therefore we glorify Your wonderful deeds. We pray that this sacred moment will become an appointed time of holiness and healing.

People:            Whenever we experience fear and confusion, anxiety or worry, You steady our hearts and bring peace to our minds. Wherever we are, You are always with us. Whatever we face, You constantly support us.

Pastor:             Heavenly Father, examine our hearts and minds, our bodies and souls; heal us of all that harms us. Pour out the blessing of Your healing power upon us and all our loved ones. Restore to health and strength all those for whom we now silently pray.

Silent Prayers for ourselves and others. A candle is lit

Pastor:             Let us declare the goodness of the Lord forever. May we sing and celebrate His wonderful ways. In Jesus’ Name, we make these prayers. Amen.

Dedication (unison – led by pastor):  Lord Jesus, You have introduced us to God and sought His approval of our lives. You have blessed us in this life, and seek to reward us in the life to come. We can never repay the everlasting debt that we owe You, but we can give to Your church, to promote the Good News, to expand God’s Kingdom, and to enrich other lives with Your ministry. Take our tithes and gifts, our lives and souls, and use them for the glorifying of God in our church, across our community, and throughout the entire world. In Your Holy Name, we cheerfully give and faithfully pray. Amen.

Pastor:             Let us worship and glorify our God. Let us magnify and bless the Lord! Amen.

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:             Immortal Creator and Everlasting Father, whose power sustains the universe and whose will enables life to endure; we applaud Your wonderful deeds and adore Your gracious ways. You formed our planet and permitted us dominion over the Earth. We approach You with our prayers and now come to You, confessing our sins.

People:           Loving God, we often question Your words and sometimes doubt Your decisions about our lives. We cast aside Your counsel and decline to accept Your commands. We think too highly of ourselves and allow pride to diminish our humble faith. Forgive us for subverting Your kingdom and ignoring Your sovereignty over us. Hear us now as we express our regrets and repent of our sinful ways.

- Silent Confessions -

Guide:              Merciful Lord, without Your Son Jesus Christ, there would be no opportunity for forgiveness or restoration, repentance or reconciliation. We thank You for His sacrifice and seek to pledge our lives to Him.

We have made our confessions in Christ's Name and so through His holy words, we further pray, saying, "Our Father, Who art in heaven...THE LORD’S PRAYER" (debts/debtors)

           

Promise of the Gospel:

Guide: Every day we break God's Law and dishonor His commands. We put ourselves under severe and eternal punishment, from which only Jesus can save us.  He alone has the power to pardon and return us to God's Kingdom. Let us rejoice and be glad in His Name. Amen.

Pastor:             O Lord, You have searched our spirits and You know us completely. You see all that we do and perceive our thoughts, our worries and concerns.

People:           You are familiar with all of our ways; You understand all that we experience.

Before we voice our prayers, You know what we are about to ask.

Pastor:             When we feel pressure or suffer from stress, You lay Your loving hand upon us. Your presence is wonderful; we appeal to You for healing and peace to come upon us and all our loved ones. Hear us now as we pray.

Guide: Almighty Creator and Immortal Lord, whose holiness purifies the universe, and whose sacred words sustain all life; we humbly gather before You as servants seeking to honor You and as sinners needing salvation.

People: All Powerful and Ever Present God, whose ways are beyond our imagining and whose noble works have been glorified for centuries, we humbly approach Your Throne of grace, looking for mercy, favor and love.

Guide: Heavenly Father, we have built barriers of pride and prejudice, insolence and ignorance, as well as faithlessness and fear around our souls. We have damaged our spirits by our greedy ways; we have diminished our faith by our selfish sins. Pardon our guilt and forgive our foolish choices. Hear us now as we silently confess and pray.
