Prayer of Adoration and Confession

Guide:                  Almighty God, we praise You for bringing our world into existence, as well as for sustaining our lives with Your love. We gather in Your Holy Presence and present our heartfelt prayers in Your Sacred Place.

People:                 Immortal Father, whose promises are never broken and whose words are always fulfilled, we confess to our weaknesses and mistakes, our sinful ways and stubborn pride, as well as our diminished faith and foolish decisions. We deserve Your punishment for our rebellious and unchristian acts, yet You choose to offer us forgiveness and mercy through Jesus Christ our Lord. Hear us now as we silently confess and personally pray.

Guide:                  Loving Lord, You have removed the disgrace of our sins through the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Holy Son. We dedicate our hearts to Him and place our lives into His Hands. With His Holy words, we now pray, saying, “Our Father…THE LORD’S PRAYER” (debts/debtors).

Promise of the Gospel

Guide:                  Across the centuries and throughout the generations, Jesus has provided us with the means to salvation. He sacrificed Himself, so that we may be restored to God’s favor. He advocates on our behalf, so that we may receive the crown of eternal life. Let us rejoice and be glad, for Christ is our way, truth, and life for ever and ever.   Amen.

Pastor:                 In this holy place, God is known. His Name is great among His gathered people. The Lord dwells within our hearts and calls us to this house of prayer and healing. God is our light and salvation. He is majestic and almighty, compassionate and caring. In the midst of our fears, He stands beside us. In times of anger and frustration, He is our strength and peace.

People:                 Heavenly Lord, heal us and all our loved ones; free us from pain and suffering; restore us to health and strength. Rise up, O Living God, and save us from all our anxieties and afflictions. Hear us now as we silently pray.

Guide:                  LORD Almighty, whose plans are always fulfilled and whose will is never diminished, we adore and revere You as our True Creator, Heavenly Father, and Everlasting God. You have called us to this place of prayer and worship, so that we may know Your peace, share Your Words, and experience Your Love.

People:                 Loving God, we praise You for being patient with us. We acknowledge Your kindness and compassion. We know that we have sinned against You by allowing pride to determine our actions, fear to diminish our faith, and greed to overrule our generosity. Merciful Father, humble us in Your Holy Presence. Enable us to cast off our sinful ways. Forgive our foolish mistakes and inept decisions, as well as our selfish choices and unworthy deeds. Please hear us now as we personally confess our faults to You.

Guide:                  Eternal God, You can save us from our sins when we place our lives into Christ’s hands. Pastor:                  Ascribe to the LORD, all you His people, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Give to the LORD the glory due to His Name, for He is powerful, compassionate, and kind.

People:                 We worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; in this place of prayer, we seek His healing. The voice of the LORD is powerful; when He speaks to our spirits, we can be restored to health, wholeness, and happiness.

Pastor:                  The power of the LORD is majestic; therefore, we humbly call upon Him to heal us of all that harms us.

May He be merciful to our family and friends; may He love them and comfort them, releasing them from pain and suffering, as well as renewing their strength and mending their broken bodies, minds, hearts and spirits, all in Jesus’ Name. Guide:                         Lord God Almighty and Strong Deliverer of Your people, we approach Your throne of grace with thanksgiving and love, loyalty and devotion. You are the Holy One who creates our lives, who builds up the nations, and who sustains the universe, therefore we gather to worship and adore You.

People:           Gracious God, You offer us Your guidance and grant us Your perfect counsel, but we, as persistent sinners, continue to act without consulting You, and make choices that disappoint You. Instead of seeking Your strength, we rely upon our own. Instead of looking to You for help, we constantly follow our own understanding. We repeatedly set You aside, instead of centering You in our lives. Forgive us, Loving Father, and hear us as we confess our sins.

Guide:                         Everlasting God, You sent Your Son Jesus to save us from our sinful ways. His blood has atoned for all of our guilt. His death has completely purchased our salvation. Guide:                         Jesus was constantly challenged to relinquish His claims and to conform to the world. Instead, He chose to follow God's bidding and completely obey His will. He earned the right to become the Savior of the world and in Him alone rests the universal authority to forgive sins and redeem sinners. Let us rejoice and be thankful for His great sacrifice and perfect obedience, which has delivered us from God's wrath and returned us to His everlasting love.  In Jesus' Name, we pray. Amen.

Guide:  Gracious Father, we know that we stagger and stumble throughout life; we make many mistakes; we follow faithless ways; and satisfy our selfish desires. Pastor: O Lord, do good to your servants, and we will live. We will cherish and obey Your words of life. Open our eyes, Lord, that we may see the wonderful gifts of Your healing power.

People:            Sometimes, O Lord, our hearts are consumed with concerns; our thoughts are filled with fear. Remove from us the burden of our worries; carry and support us through our trials and tribulations.

Pastor: May we meditate on the mercy of the Lord and silently ask Him to heal us and all our loved one from all that harms us physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually..
