Prelude

Call to Worship
Pastor:                 May the Lord's unfailing love come among us; may we know of His promised salvation.
People:                 We come here freely to praise God and to seek His wisdom and teaching.
Pastor:                  Let us lift up our hearts and spirits as we worship the Lord, whom we eternally adore. Amen.

First Hymn

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:                  Loving God, whose power sustains all that lives and whose promises remain unbroken across the centuries, we worship You with our hearts and seek to serve You with our lives. Your ways are infinitely beyond our own, and Your works are gloriously displayed throughout the universe. Today we pledge our faith and confidence in You.
People:                Gracious Father, we still have sinful desires and selfishly make bad choices. We sometimes neglect Your holy words and choose to act upon our own understanding. Forgive us for being foolish and inconsistent, insensitive and ungrateful. Pardon all of our sins, and forgive us for allowing our pride to dictate our thoughts and deeds. Hear us now as we sincerely pray.

- Silent Confessions -

Guide:                  Merciful Lord, we look to You for salvation through Your Son Jesus Christ. In Him, we find peace and pardon, as well as redemption and restoration. We are thankful for His sacrifice and we glorify His Holy Name. Hear us now as we continue to pray, saying, “Our Father…THE LORD'S PRAYER” (debts/debtors).

Promise of the Gospel
Guide:                  Jesus could truly judge us and cast us out of God's Kingdom forever. We rely upon His mercy and grace to restore us to God’s love. Without them, we are lost forever, but with Christ we are given God's everlasting favor. To Him be the glory and power, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayers for Health and Healing



Pastor:                 O Loving Lord, within our hearts we know that You are with us. In each of our lives, we experience Your compassion and grace. Look favorably on us, O Lord, and help us to understand Your ways. Have mercy upon us as we pray and seek Your blessing.
People:                 As we turn to You for help, Heavenly Father, calm our spirits and subdue our fears. When we call upon You for healing, release us from any anxiety, illness, or pain. When our strength is at its lowest, grant us Your presence. When our health is weak and fragile, sustain us with Your love and grace. Hear us now as we silently pray for ourselves and others.

Pastor:                  May the Lord restore us physically and mentally, as well as emotionally and spiritually. In Jesus' Name, we ask of God. Amen.    (Healing prayer based on words & phrases from Psalm 14)

Guide:                  Gracious Lord, whose words have shaped our civilization and whose love sustains our people, we humbly approach Your Holy presence. You have edified our lives and blessed our spirits. We acknowledge You as our Strong Deliver and Almighty King.
People:                 Merciful God, each day we are distracted by sinful things which plague our faithful ways. We are tempted by selfish desires and end up justifying our chronic mistakes.
People:                                Everlasting Father, enter our hearts and strengthen our Christian beliefs. Anoint our souls with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may overcome our reckless and foolish ways. Forgive us for being weak and sinful people. Pardon our neglect of good works, charitable deeds, and selfless giving. Hear us now as we confess our sins to You.

Guide:                  Loving Lord, You have returned hope to us and we are grateful for Your compassion. May we continue to adore Jesus as our Savior, who gave His Life so that we may be cleansed of the past, strengthened in the present, and restored to Your eternal Kingdom in the future. Prayers for Health and Healing

Pastor:                  We have heard what God has done in the past and experienced His unfailing love in our lives. With God’s guidance, we have overcome our troubles and through His mercy, we have flourished.
People:                 The Lord is our King and God forever. We look to Him for the health and healing. We pray that God will relieve us from our pain and sickness, our illness and disease, as well as our discomfort and despair.
Pastor:                  Almighty LORD, hear our prayers and answer our heartfelt pleas. Touch us with Your Holy Spirit and enter into the hearts, minds, bodies and souls of all our loved ones, so they may healed of all that harms them. Restore them to health, happiness, and wholeness. Hear us now as we silently bring our prayers and requests for healing to You alone.

Pastor:             May the Lord remember His promises to all His people, for we are given hope through them.
People:           In the midst of our troubles, we are comforted by the Lord. His words reassure us                                         throughout our lives.
Pastor:             Let us come to God, with our worship and praises. Let us glorify His Holy Name. Amen.

First Hymn:

Prayers of Adoration and Confession

Guide:              Gracious God, each day we turn to You for guidance and try to live our lives by keeping Your commands. At the end of the day, we look to You to pardon our sins, for we will have failed to perfectly keep Your words. Merciful Lord, if we try to ignore Your presence, we are only fooling ourselves. If we think that we can hide our secrets from You, we are deluded.
People:           Loving Lord, You gave each of us life, so that we may enjoy the works of Your creation and delight in Your ways. Forgive us for wasting this precious gift, and for straying from Your holy paths. We regret disappointing You, hurting other people, and neglecting our faith. We are sorry for allowing sin to affect our decisions, ruin our relationships, and damage our souls.  Hear us now as we silently confess our faults to You alone.

Guide: Almighty Father, we are eternally indebted to Your Son Jesus Christ. His sacrifice has saved our souls; His grace has generated faith within our hearts. Christ is the Lord of our lives, the Head of the Church, and the Healer of the World. Guide:              Everything that Jesus tells us in the scriptures leads us to experience the love of His Father in Heaven. Pastor:             O Lord, as we abide in Your sanctuary, may Your Holy Spirit descend upon us. As we await Your sacred presence, may Your righteousness cover all our sins.
People:           Speak to our hearts, Loving Father, and let Your truth comfort our souls. When we are hurting, heal our pain. When we are grieving, grant us grace. When we are fearful, fill us with faith.
Pastor:             Gracious Lord, we depend upon Your promises to sustain us in times of trouble, worry, and stress. Hear our prayers, Holy Lord. Guide:             Heavenly Father, whose holy patience has lasted generations, and whose sacred ways teach us right from wrong, we worship and adore You. Everlasting God, we seek Your instruction and inspiration; we hope to please You with our praise and delight You with our devotion.
People:            Merciful Lord, we recognize our imperfect and sinful ways. We know that we fall short of Your expectations and cast aside Your commands. Forgive us for being faithless and foolish at times; pardon us for being impertinent and rebellious, self-centered and false. Hear us now as we quietly confess our sins to You.

Guide: Compassionate God, whose mercy we seek and whose forgiveness we need, thank You for providing us with Jesus. Thank You for Your plan of salvation, which was, is, and always will be fulfilled in Him alone. Confessional Prayer

Guide: Almighty and Infinite God, Majestic and All-Powerful Creator, we approach You with awe and reverence; we gather in humility and service. Your Hands have formed our universe; Your Will sustains our lives. What are we that You are mindful of us? Who are we to receive Your compassion and care?

People:  Gracious Lord, nothing is hidden from Your gaze; no secrets can be kept from Your heart. We have shamefully sinned and selfishly centered our lives upon greed, power, desire and deceit. We have neglected our faith, spoken harsh words, passed by people in need and put You to the back of our minds.
Guide:  We are guilty of many sins, so we seek Your compassion and ask for mercy. Hear us now as we solemnly pray.

Guide: Loving Father, we are unworthy to receive grace and yet You have given us Your Son Jesus to die for our mistakes, to take the punishment due for our sins, and to sacrifice Himself for all the wrong things we have said and done. Guide:  Christ knows all of our secrets and everything that goes on in our minds, hearts, and lives. Only He can fully offer us salvation. Only He can restore us to the One, True and Living God. Guide: Almighty Lord of power and peace, we approach You as servants and students, as devotees and disciples, and as seekers and sinners looking for Your love. You called us from the comfort of our homes to experience Your presence in this sanctuary. You have brought us to this peaceful place to touch our hearts, change our ways, and challenge our lives.

People: Heavenly Father, we know that we are imperfect and unholy; we recognize that we have weaknesses and faults. Help us to seek Your mercy and grace. Teach us to rely upon Your favor and blessing. Hear us now as we silently confess our mistakes and wrongdoing. Forgive us for neglecting our faith, ignoring Your words, and for being selfish.

Guide: Merciful God, without Christ’s passion, we could not approach You for grace. Without His brutal sacrifice, we could not stand in Your Holy Presence to ask for mercy. Confessional Prayer
Guide: Everlasting Lord, who speaks to all creation, sustaining the entire universe with Your Word, we come here to worship and adore Your wonderful ways. We are blessed with Your shalom and strengthened by Your love. Let us humbly come into Your presence, and sanctify our worship, for You are the One True and Living God
People: Gracious Father, You command us to listen to Your voice and to follow Your ways. We confess that we have been disobedient and rebelled against Your rules. We are weak, mortal and imperfect; You are holy, immortal and almighty. Forgive our faithless and selfish ways; pardon our wrong acts and sinful deeds. Hear us now as we silently pray.

- Silent Confessions -

Guide: Loving God, enable us to be attentive to You, listening to what You have to say through Jesus Christ, Your Holy Son. In Christ alone, our spirits are reunited to You. Through Him, we are saved from eternal destruction.
People: We thank You, Immortal Lord, for bringing Jesus, our Savior into our lives. In His Name and by His words, we conclude these prayers, saying, saying, "Our Father, etc..."

Pastor: We call to You, with all of our hearts, O LORD; answer us and we will obey Your decrees. We call out to You to save us and heal us. We will follow Your divine counsel and accept Your ways.
People: Each day, Lord, we ask You for help; we place our hopes in Your promises and words. Hear our prayers, in accordance with Your love. Preserve and sustain us, in accordance with Your great compassion.

Pastor: You are near to us, O Lord, and Your promises are reassuring. We bring before You our loved ones, our neighbors, other people and ourselves. We need You to heal us of everything that harms us in body, mind, heart, and soul Hear us now, as we faithfully pray.
