Call to Worship

Youth:   We come here to praise the Lord and to honor His great deeds throughout the Earth.
All:         We have been summoned in Christ’s Name and cheerfully responded to His Call.
Youth:   Let us gladly worship the One True and Living God. Amen.

Prayer of Adoration and Confession

Guide:                  Sovereign Lord of the Universe, we praise Your glorious ways and bless Your wonderful Name. We are honored at being called into Your Holy Presence. We feel favored when You summon us to Your Holy House of praise and prayer.

People:                 Loving Lord of Life, You rule over the Earth and see all of its ways. You know that we are sinful and selfish, foolish and faithless, as well as proud and pitiless at times.  Forgive our faults and pardon our past mistakes. We have neglected to do good deeds, and have inflicted hurt on other people. We have followed our own foolhardy ways and allowed temptation to contaminate our souls. Hear us now as we inwardly confess our sins to You alone.

Guide:                  Heavenly Father, help us to honor You by placing Christ at the center of our lives. May His Passion free us from our sins. May His sacrifice restore us to Your Favor. In Christ’s Name, we pray and through His own words, we unite our hearts, saying, “Our Father…THE LORD’s PRAYER” (debts/debtors)

Promise of the Gospel:
Guide:                   Jesus wants us to turn away from sinful ways and return to Him. He calls us to follow Him and be witnesses of His mercy. Our past sins are forgiven because He loves us. We honor Christ’s authority over our lives by asking for His redeeming grace. Let us rejoice and be glad, for Christ is our Savior and we are eternally restored to God’s favor and blessing. Amen.

Pastor:                 Lord, we proclaim Your love this morning and thank You for Your faithfulness to us. You make us glad through Your wonderful deeds; we rejoice in the work of Your healing hands.
People: Loving Lord, we know that You understand us perfectly, and that You think about us constantly. May we flourish by Your grace; may we be healed through Your mercy.
Pastor:  In the midst of our illnesses, be our salvation. During times of depression or despair, be our defender and deliverer. Loving Lord, look after our loved ones and heal them of all that harms them in body, mind, heart and soul. Hear us now as we pray.

Silent Prayers for others and ourselves. A candle is lit

Pastor: The Lord is our righteousness, our peace and strength. He loves and restores us in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Guide:                         Christ convicts us of our sins and reveals to us how fallen we have become. He does not leave us to despair, but instead He offers us a sacred opportunity to find forgiveness, peace, and love in Him. By His sacrifice at Calvary, we receive mercy and are restored to God’s favor forever. Therefore, in Christ’s powerful Name, let us rejoice and pray. Amen.

Pastor:             Hear our cries, O God; listen to our heartfelt prayers. Deep within our souls, we call to You. When we are weak and our hearts are troubled, be the Rock of our salvation.
People:            You are our refuge and our strength against all things which harm us in body, mind, heart and soul. We seek to dwell in Your healing presence and look to You to keep us safe from illness and injury, disease and despair, as well as pain and suffering.
Pastor:             We call upon You for healing on behalf of ourselves, our loved ones, and for those that we know are in need of Your help. May Your love and faithfulness protect all of us and may our loved ones experience Your peace and blessing, Your hope and healing. Hear us now as we pray.

Guide:            Lord of Heaven and Earth, of all that is seen and unseen, we bring to You our prayers of joy and jubilation, as well as our praises of thanksgiving and celebration. Your are God of grace and glory, of redemption and righteousness, therefore we praise Your sacred Name and delight in Your holy deeds.

People:                       Merciful Father, You teach us right from wrong, and offer to guide our decisions and correct our choices. We confess that we have ignored Your counsel and rebelled against our faith. We are guilty of being selfish and proud, foolish and vain, sinful and wayward.  Hear us now as we personally ask forgiveness from You alone.

- Silent Confessions -

Guide:                         Everlasting God, help us to reconsider our ways, so that we may reshape our lives according to Christ's commands. Enable us to merge our hearts and souls with Him. We declare that Jesus is our only Savior and that through Him alone can we be pardoned, saved, and restored to God forevermore. Pastor:             O Lord, we declare Your glory and proclaim the healing works of Your hands. Day by day, we speak of Your mightiness; week by week, we praise Your Holy Name.
People:                        All over the world, people in their own languages, are speaking the same; like us they seek Your compassion, Your concern, and Your care. Cries for help are to be heard all across the world; throughout the earth, You are glorified as the Healer of the nations and the Creator of all life.

Pastor:             We rejoice in Your ways and are refreshed by Your love. We reach out for strength and ask for support. Nothing is hidden from You, O Gracious Lord. Hear us now as we ask for healing for ourselves, our loved ones, and all whom we know.

Guide: Lord of Life and Creator of the Universe, we proclaim You as our One, True and Holy God. We serve You as Your called and chosen people. We revere Your wonderful ways and are constantly amazed by Your powerful deeds.

People: Heavenly Father, we seek to please Your heart and follow Your will. Yet we allow pride and bitterness, prejudice and anger to hurt other people, to have our own way, and to fulfill our selfish desires. When we fall into temptation, we separate ourselves from Your Love and deaden our spirits to Your commands. Forgive us for rejecting Your words and damaging our faith. Confessional Prayer

Guide: Almighty and Everlasting God, we approach You with awe and reverence; we gather in humility and service. Your Hands have formed our universe; Your Will sustains our lives. What are we that You are mindful of us? Who are we to receive Your compassion and care?
People: Gracious Lord, nothing is hidden from Your gaze; no secrets can be kept from Your heart. We have shamefully sinned and selfishly centered our lives upon greed, power, desire and deceit. We have neglected our faith; spoken harsh words; passed by people in need and put You to the back of our minds. We are guilty of many sins, so we seek Your compassion and ask for mercy. Hear us now as we solemnly pray.

Guide: Loving Father, we are unworthy to receive grace and yet You have given us Your Son Jesus to die for our mistakes, to take the punishment due for our sins, and to sacrifice Himself for all the wrong things we have committed and all the right thing we have omitted. Without our Savior, we are unforgiven. Without Christ’s obedience, we are not restored.
